Tests:(

You never really turn in HW in France... In math we have HW due every class but we only turn in our weekend homework. I guess only the tests and the quizzes matter... Of which, I have two today! I had my physics test this morning and it felt ok.. But now I have my history test to look. Forward to... It is in essay form. I wrote an essay on what I thought the subject would be last night but I had notes to help me... I really want to do well on this test!
Other than tests, school is pretty easy. I am understanding more and more and there are even lectures where I can take notes without having to copy! My friends have been reading my essays and helping me with grammar and they say I am getting A LOT better:) I just need to practice speaking...
I am loving France and my friends and I can't believe that I only have (exactly) 4 months until I leave! Already one month gone and I barely felt it!

Random Observation

For school, you are always waiting outside the classroom before the bell. If you enter the class on time but after the other students, you have to explain why you are "late." When you enter the class, you do not sit down but you stand and wait for the teacher to give you permission to sit down.

Gotta love a new school

OK- waking up almost 40 minutes late is NOT an option. You have to hurry get dressed, brush teeth, pack bag, skip breakfast, and RUN to school. Then after all the running- I couldn't find my classroom. I asked a lady in the office and she immediately picked up on my accent and how I didn't understand my schedule thing-a-ma-bobber and it turned out she spoke English and she helped me find my class (she didn't really know where it was either but she wrote me a note for being late saying that I was excused.) Good start to a day:)

Awesome Start to a Week

Today was really great! I honestly just felt so accepted today. I was having so much fun hanging out with everyone and talking to everyone (in french.) My friends have even started talking about how five months is way too short a time. I had P.E. today and we had three different options and I have no idea what I signed up for... I think I prefer the school week to weekends just because I get to talk to people and not just hang out in my room. Fathima is one of my friends and she is so helpful, if I mispronounce a word she makes me say it right and sometimes that can take awhile :) She speaks just enough English that if I honestly have no clue how to say something she will help me. I love having a good day, it makes the world seem perfect.

Hitting me

You know the phrase "It just hit me" or "It hasn't hit me yet" ? Well I keep thinking that it hasn't really hit me yet that I am in France. By this point I think that it was such a seamless transition that there isn't really much to hit. My city is just like going and visiting another city in the U.S. it isn't Paris or New York City. It is pretty much normal but everyone speaks french.

Going Photo Crazy on September 8th!
